I don’t usually post on Tuesdays, but I wanted to share this with you. Β I took this picture at WalMart a couple of days ago, and no. I didn’t stage it.
All the best to all of you for Valentine’s Luck, however you may define that.
Seems you’ve had to say Happy VD one too many times today; so I will spare you the false flattery about your wonderful photography ~ but a lucky find nonetheless.
I am sure glad to see you taking a stab at humor, or lightening the mood, jeesh, that piece yesterday gutted the Twitterverse and left a trail of tears like Sitting Bull’s march… or was it Nero? I don’t know one of those guys.
I wanted to let you know that my Social Oomph has been giving me a stupid message of late. Which means that Twitter has been spanking them a bit. What happens is that Twitter tweaks their API Rules, and the Client Vendors like Social Oomph have to conform to Twitter’s wishes, or get shut down completely. So anyway, of late, let’s say we Tweet this: Best Of Valentines Day Luck to You http://piperbayard.wordpress.com/2012/02/14/walmart-valentine/#comments via @PiperBayard …. ( including the Via @PiperBayard or Via @MuseInks or Via @Poeticamber ) not just you, but Via anyone? They give me a cranky, nasty message saying that I have “Too Many Directed Mentioned Tweets, please cut back” then they don’t send the Tweet out.
Well, I use Social Oomph to set up predetermined tweets at intervals during the day, that way, if I am away from the office, which is most of the time, then I still have tweets going out. But If I get back, and one didn’t go out, like most OCD freakazoid control nuts, I get to havin’ a hernia jumping up and down, stomping, and throwing a fit, which causes the entire office to leave early for the day, and I am left to do all the work by myself, quite a lonely existence – miserable too!!
So Social Oomph has only been doing this since last Thursday, and notice the hedging of their bets here: “Cut back a little will ya pal?” is kinda the way they put it. So I am trying different things that work. One of them is cutting out the Via @PiperBayard Via @KBOwenwriter part, figuring all the bloggers put their Twitter handle on their blogs, in case someone wants to follow you on Twitter.
Thus, you’d have to check my timeline periodically to know that I have Tweeted a link to your blog, which I assure you, I do daily. But I am doing it without including your Twitter handle.
Obviously, I could have said all that in a much briefer Comment, but I felt like explaining myself fully, and in so doing, you won’t have to say: “Happy VD, Lonny”
Lol. Happy VD, Lonny. And thank you for explaining. I never doubted your support, but it’s always good to learn how these things work. I’m the Anti-Lonny when it comes to understanding the pagan ways and practices of social media programs. Your comment is much appreciated. π
That’s awesome. So funny.
