Though it is for a good cause, it’s too bad we don’t put this much effort into teaching humans to drive. Maybe the “click and treat” method should be employed in human Drivers Ed classes.
Perhaps we could get more people to adopt orphans and foster children if there was a program like this to show people how awesome those kids can be with time and attention.

Piper Bayard–The Pale Writer of the Apocalypse
Thanks so much for the shout out, Piper; your kind words mean a lot.
If it’s possible to have a favorite day for reading your blog, it might just Fridays for your end is near musings are always so thoughtful, so spot on. I’m honored to be included.
Again, thanks.
Karen
Hi KM. Piper is busy with prose today so on her behalf I thank you.
ROFL!! Luv Ellen!!!
Hi Natalie. On piper’s behalf I thank you.
Saw a piece on doggie driving school on TV. I don’t know, maybe it was the hour or the meds, it made perfect sense to me. I should add, I’m the driver who’s having a conipition at the red light when some a$$hat is trying to memorize the red light and not turning right, as the law allows. Dogs should make great drivers. They’re just bright enough to learn tricks and how much worse than the present drivers. (I’ve always believed we’re not the top of the pyramid, the real Alphas know enough to keep quiet and let us screw up on our own.)
hi Tomwisk. You have a point. Given some of the bipeds that drive dogs might be able to qualify.
When I saw that Dog Driving clip on the news this week, I thought: “Piper ought to do that in her mashup.” Of course, it went right out of my mind after that (as many things do at this stage of my life). So glad you included it! And thanks for the shout-out; that Pen for Women campaign doesn’t seem to be taking off. I can see the writing on the wall.
*ducking for cover*
Write like the wind, Piper! Have a great weekend, both of you!
Kathy
Hi KB. Piper is working on prose and the occasional Mom activity. I hate when her kids act like they have a claim on her and they interfere with our business schedule. On Piper’s behalf thank you and happy holidays 🙂
Thanks for including me Piper!
Also – I find it amusing that those of us who voted “yes, I’d let the dog drive” outnumber the “no’s” by 8 to 1. Your readers are my kind of people…
Hi Susan. Our polls are scientific. We had Tom Crusie check the wording. Looks like dogs will be driving.
Thanks for including Susan’s fab post in your mashup. Your link to the dog video didn’t work for me, but I watched this one and LOVED it. 🙂
Hi Jenny. Cool link and cute dog.
Lady Pens. Lord. I`m still trying to understand why my daughter thinks the women`s shaving lotion is preferable to the men`s? RRR
Hi Emily. I didn’t know there was such a thing as women’s shaving lotion. I bet it cost more and is made in the same factory.
And yet again, I am reminded why I am a CAT PERSON. No self-respecting cat would allow themselves to be designated the driver of an idiot human who would actually surrender the driver’s seat to them. I can just hear their thoughts at a Cat Driving School: “You want me to push that button over and over for that little treat? You’ve got to be kidding. You’re interrupting my nap.”
Hi Julie. Cats will want to steal cars once dogs are driving.
Thanks for the blog shout out. And sorry I didn’t get by here yesterday. I had to do new author pictures. The horror, the horror. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Hi Catie. Piper is off today. I let her have the day off to work on our prose because she’s such a great boss.
Oh this is paw-some! Love the videos. It’s one of those questions–“why do this?” answered with…”because I can!”
Just don’t show the one video to Magical-Dawg. He already owns the car, and I have to hide the keys.
Hi Amy. I hope your dog drives better than some of our people now driving.
We rate dog drivers higher than teenage drivers here in NZ. Those Mini Countrymen are worth around $NZ45,000. Whereas most Kiwi teenagers get the hand-me-down old family car worth about $800…
Hi Mathew. The US system is similar for most families although some affluent children often drive new BMW sports cars. Fortunately many affluent families have more sense than that.
